One licence for your whole hospice, volunteers included.
Fifteen practical courses on leading and managing people, for ward managers, team leads, fundraisers, shop managers and volunteer coordinators, with a dated record of what each person learned and kept. One annual licence, paid by invoice or purchase order.
We are opening with a small group of founding organisations; early requests get first places. Individual staff and volunteers can create a free account from any course page.
Development that fits around a rota.
A ward manager or a shop manager rarely gets a clear day for their own development. Trigfell fits the time they do have: a course read at a desk or listened to on the way in, with a record that keeps itself.
Whole-workforce access, volunteers included
Nurses, healthcare assistants, family support workers, fundraisers, retail and admin staff and volunteers can read or listen to every course, at their own pace, on a phone between shifts or at a desk.
Activities and quizzes that are marked
Each course carries activities and quizzes marked on our servers, so a completion means the material was worked through. An AI tutor answers questions from the course content only. It gives no clinical or safeguarding advice, and points anyone raising a safeguarding concern to your own policy and named lead instead of answering it.
Assignments with a study day
Assign a course to a ward, a department, the shops or everyone, with a date it is due. Run a study day on it, or let people fit it around the rota.
A dated record for each person
Recap questions return weeks after a course and go on a record of what each person learned and retained. Export a training record for one person, or a Trustee summary for the board, in one click.
Verifiable certificates
Everyone earns a certificate on completion, stating the CPD hours, each with its own public verification page, so the hours can be quoted and checked.
Cohorts, communities and live workshops
Run cohorts inside your own hospice, or join a sector-wide community where hospices compare notes. Named experts run live workshops and Q&A that staff and volunteers can join or listen in on.
Straightforward to run, easy to account for.
You hold a pool of seats for the year. Your named licence manager assigns them to staff and volunteers, moves a seat on when someone leaves, and sees progress for the whole hospice in one place.
The whole hospice in one view, and one page for your trustees.
Your licence manager sees who is enrolled, what they have completed, which assignments are overdue and the CPD hours logged, by team and for the hospice as a whole. The Trustee summary prints it on one page for the board meeting, and a training record for one person prints in the same click.
Written by two people who ran large staff teams.
The courses on appraisals, difficult conversations, coaching and leading change were written by two former senior leaders who ran large staff teams in schools and colleges. They are about managing people and they say nothing about clinical practice; that stays with your own clinical educators. Staff and volunteers can read or listen, pick up where they left off, and finish with a certificate.
Fifteen courses that transfer to a hospice as written.
Every course in the library that is about leading and managing people. The courses written for schools and colleges stay out of it. Each one carries activities, a marked quiz, recap questions and a certificate with CPD hours.
Leading
Managing people
Fire, infection prevention, resuscitation, moving and handling, safeguarding and the rest of your statutory list are not here. Buy those where you buy them now; Trigfell is for the part nobody sells cheaply.
One price per hospice, per year.
A single annual licence covers your whole workforce, staff and volunteers, across every site and shop you run. No per-seat surprises, and VAT is handled at checkout. Groups of hospices, talk to us about a shared arrangement.
- Request an invoice against a purchase order for your finance team, or pay by card for immediate access.
- Renews annually; we will remind you in good time before it is due.
- Your hospice's name and logo on your people's workspace, with a recorded welcome from your chief executive or director of clinical services if you want one.
- Part of a group of hospices, or run several sites? Talk to us about a group-wide licence with every site in one view.
What hospices ask before they sign.
- Is Trigfell CQC-approved?
- No, and nothing else is either: CQC registers and assesses hospices, and it approves no training product. What Trigfell gives you is a record. Every course a person completes is dated, recap questions return weeks later and show what stayed with them, and you can export a training record for one person or a Trustee summary for the board in one click.
- Does it cover our statutory and mandatory training?
- No. Fire, infection prevention, resuscitation, moving and handling, safeguarding and the rest of your statutory list are not on Trigfell, and we have no plans to write them; the sector buys them cheaply and well elsewhere. Trigfell is for the part nobody sells cheaply: leading and managing people.
- Are volunteers included?
- Yes. A volunteer is a learner like anyone on the payroll. They hold a seat, work through the courses you assign, earn the same certificate and appear on the same record. When you request a licence, tell us roughly how many people you want covered, staff and volunteers together.
- Who wrote the courses, and what do they know about hospices?
- Two former senior leaders who ran large staff teams in schools and colleges, working with Promoting Excellence. Appraisals, difficult conversations, coaching, delegation and leading change are the same work in a hospice as anywhere with a payroll, and that is what the courses cover. They contain no clinical content and make no claim to; your clinical educators keep that.
- Can we set a course for everyone with a study day?
- Yes. Assign any course to a ward, a department, the shops or the whole hospice with a date it is due. Tick the study day box and everyone works to one shared date; leave it off and people fit the course around the rota. Either way the assignment shows who has finished and who has not.
- How do we pay?
- Request an invoice against a purchase order, which most hospices prefer, or pay by card for immediate access. The licence renews annually and we remind you in good time before it is due. No payment is taken when you send the request; we confirm the details with you first.
